Hi everybody! My name is Kayla Summers and I am your 2012 Kit Carson Riding Club Queen. I am looking forward to another great year promoting KCRC and already have some ideas in mind for this year. First off, I should tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a member of the Kit Carson Riding Club for eleven years now. I am thirteen years old and I am also in the eighth grade at the Classical Academy. Aside from school I enjoy playing club volleyball and of course horseback riding. I have been involved with horses since I was 2 years old. I ride a 24 year old chocolate brown mare, Cassie, who I have been leasing since August. We have a very strong relationship since we spend so much time together, Cassie is my royalty and 4-H horse and I am also taking lessons from Wendy Ducy, a western pleasure trainer. I am currently competing at the Latigo Winter Buckle Series. I am so excited to be able to represent our club as the 2012 Kit Carson Riding Club Queen. My whole life I've been watching my sister progress from Princess to Aide and even to Queen, then to El Paso County Fair Queen and Aide to Girl of the West. I am so excited to follow her footsteps and continue on the legacy. I cannot wait to begin this year and I am looking forward to an amazing year with Emily and Kristen. |

Hi, my name is Kristen Wiseheart and I am Kit Carson Riding Club's 2012 Princess. I am 11 years old and have been a member of this club for four years. This is my first year doing royalty and I am really looking forward to all of the upcoming royalty activities. I like to do gymkhana's with my horse and especially Extreme Cowboy Racing. I enjoy participating in parades and trail rides with my family and friends. Also, I have won the gymkhana high point buckle two years in a row. I have seven horses, two donkeys, one llama, six cats, three dogs, and chickens. I do some sports like basketball and softball. As royalty I will be riding my seven year old sorrel mare Molly. I have been riding Molly for about seven months but we have had her since she was four. I showed Molly in last year's Extreme Cowboy Races. I qualified and attended EXCA Worlds and that was a great experience for both of us. So we are both very excited for the year ahead of us. |
